Homemade Hot Chocolate
Once you try this recipe you are sure to throw out that instant cocoa mix! Who wants chocolate water when you can have this rich creamy treat!
Here in Texas the days of cold weather seem far off in the distance but we can sure dream can’t we!
If you’ve ever lived in Texas you know the weather is completely unpredictable and probably one of the only places you can see multiple seasons all in a weeks time! So it’s never too early to start preparing for a snow day!
I’m sooo ready to curl up next to a fire with my fuzzy socks, a good book, and a mug of this decadent hot chocolate!
I make my hot chocolate in my Cocoa-Latte machine. It was a gift from my mom several years back and I fell in love with it! I can dump all the ingredients in then my Cocoa-Latte mixes it up and warms it to the perfect temperature. Your hot chocolate will stay perfectly warm until you turn the machine off. I love the fact there’s an easy pour spout on the front … works wonders for get togethers! Bonus it has a froth option!
However…
If you don’t have one of these machines and don’t want to purchase one have no fear! You can simply just heat the ingredients in a saucepan on the stove.
You’ll want to whisky frequently to make sure the cocoa powder dissolves and the milk doesn’t scorch!
Warm, frothy, rich, sweet…..
The chocolate bar melts into Hot cocoa giving this Hot chocolate an over the top chocolatey touch! Topped off with some caramelized marshmallow fluff for a hint of campfires and smores!
